Two local reminders to keep your guard up

An attempted abduction and a pickpocket incident should serve as reminders to be very careful of your surroundings. In Ypsilanti a woman at 219 Pearl street bent down to check the air in her tires when a man pulled up in a van, and at gunpoint ordered her inside. She refused, he got distracted and she bolted. The van is dark green in color.

In Ann Arbor a woman was walking in the 300 block of Maynard Street at 1:15 in the afternoon Friday, when she was bumped into by a group of men. She soon noticed her wallet missing from her purse and police arrived, caught up to the group, and found her wallet in their posession. The idiots arrested were a 19-year-old Westland man and 18-year-old Taylor man.
