After the moonery by the Ann Arbor Huron High School lacrosse team, which seemed to cause so much economic downturn in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti High School administrators have forfeited a lacrosse match by Ypsi High to Grosse Ile and the cancelled of the remainder of their season. Players say this is but another case of overreaction by higher ups (the tipping point was the duct taping of a freshman players hands and feet who then lost balance, fell and hurt their wrist), the school says it's only one incident in a laundry list of 'incidents' with the Ypsi High lacrosse team, including vandalism to a bus used for an away trip.
We don't know for sure who is right, we suspect it's a little of both. But what is it with the lacrosse teams around town and this impish behavior? Spring Fever? Yeah, we'll buy that.
