Eastern scored 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to get power up and win the game vs Oakland U's Gizzards at the venerable Oestrike Stadium 8-7. Jeff Davis got the big hit for Eastern to win it. If it's better to be lucky than good EMU was both as they committed 5 errors and still made their breaks at the end.
They can also clinch a second straight MAC West title this weekend. The Ypsilanti 9 hold a game and a half lead over Northern Illinois and a three game lead over Ball State with just three to play. EMU is in Mt. Boring this weekend for three games against Central Michigan. The way we see it, suppose you wrap things up on Friday or Saturday, YCD would say go get drunk (Legal team insisting we print 'only if of age') and hit the casino. Sometimes ya gotta celebrate.
