RIP Hawkins Place BBQ

A fire has caused over $100,000 in damage to Hawkins Place BBQ restaurant at 97 Spring St. Ypsilanti firefighters began battling the blaze about 3:30pm and needed the assistance of the Pittsfield Twp and Ann Arbor fire departments. Ypsilanti Fire Capt. Dan Cain said the damage would have been worse but for the fact the building was made of 'constructed block'.
