Ruth Jamnick vs Brenda Stumbo, who ya got?

It appears to the be the most hyped early contest if not the most intriguing. So minions, campaign advisors, fans, frienemies, and digusted voting populace, who ya got? Tell YCD why one would be better than the other...

Read the minutes of past township meetings. The bickering between these two is a disgrace and a waste of taxpayer's money.

My personal dealings with Jamnick have been positive, but I don't appreciate the crap that goes on between her and her political adversaries.

In 2000, I showed up at the local Democratic offices to spend a day (which turned into 3 days) of delivering door to door literature for Al Gore and down the ticket local politicos. Ruth Jamnick was int eh office and was supposed to be organizing the process but each time I saksed her a question she acted like I was a huge inconvenience to her. Each question was met with a 'yeah yeah get away from me' dismissive attitude.

That's no reason to disqualify her here, I'm just making mention of a real interaction I had with her on a political matter.

So, glimmertwinfan, you think this run by Stumbo is personal?

It is definitely personal. My personal opinion is that the both need to go and someone new needs to get involved. But that won't happen. I don't have any personal dealings with Stumbo, so what I know of her is from reading minutes, news reports, etc.

I believe Jamnick has some relation that that owns the Terry Bakery in downtown Ypsi. I have seen her in there a few Saturday mornings and chatted with her. She has also spoken at our church a number of times.

She is a 100 mph person.

Brenda Stumbo has more heart than most I know, she isnt perfect, no one is, but she isnt like Jamnick at all who likes to make people feel unworthy....You are not the only one she has been dismissive to, she does that to everyone she doesnt see as worthy of her
