Johnny plays food critic--Cafe Habana, you'd think they could make a decent Cuban sammich

Johnny LOVES Cuban sandwiches. Loves them, if done right they are flavorful, juicy and have a mixture of some great tastes. The pork and ham and pickles and in some places salami and or turkey should be bursting with a flavorful experience. Sadly, at Cafe Habana, it's almost as if McDonald's had started serving McCuban Sandwiches. Johnny has had FOUR Cubans from Cafe Habana, hoping against hope they NEXT one would be better.

It seems like that's just not going to happen. The bread is most often stale, and the ingredients that should be bursting out from the bread seems somehow compressed, and flat tasting, very bland in fact. The meat itself tastes unseasoned and hardly noticeable.

Johnny cannot stand a bland sandwich and the Cuban sandwich from Cafe Habana is one you too can steer clear of.

I have to say that even spending countless amounts of time in South Florida, I don't ever recall having a Cuban sandwich.

I'm going to take your word for it - nada on the Cafe Habana sammich!

Now the pan Cubanos as an appetizer are DELIGHTFUL, the sandwich not so much.
