Sadly, The Four Tops front man Levi Stubbs passed today. His powerful, strong and heartfelt voice was always a draw to their brilliant music. He made every song he sang better. He brought something to songs that not every singer can. A sense of urgency, a sense of 'you'd better be listening as THIS is important', as sense of ownership of the song. So many songs by the Four Tops are such staples of American music.
