Woman found in park likely slain: cops

The body of a woman was found in a Southwest Side park Thursday morning, and Chicago Police detectives said they think she was the victim of a homicide.

The woman, described as Caucasian and in her 30s, was found about 10 a.m. near the lagoon in Marquette Park at 3015 Mann Dr. She was unclothed from the waist down and a belt was tied around her neck, authorities said.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.
