Bauhaus alum Peter Murphy, and one of the forerunners of the goth movement (hey when you show up on stage dressed as vampires this kind of label can stick, you kids pay attention), also had a successful solo career. Here is Peter Murphy with his big hit 'Cuts You Up' which ironically at the time displaced his former bandmates song on the charts, 'So Alive' by Love and Rockets.
