EMU defeated Cleveland State 3-1 in their home opener this afternoon at Varsity Field. EMU got RBI's from Jenny Scherer, Ashley Strauss (who also had 2 stolen bases), and Heather Giroux. Lauren Delapaz also had 2 hits and a stolen base for Eastern. Kari Chambers got the win, scattering 3 hits and striking out 7. Next game is right now!
Eastern improves to 8-15 overall
