Johnny and the Mrs. missed bumping into Robert Plant 2 years ago by maybe a minute and a half (Johnny set out looking over the series of stores that is the Loveless Cafe in Nashville, but never did find him). The sales clerk of the store was already on the phone with her friend in full on "You'll never believe who was just in front of me" speech on the phone. She retold the story of what he bought and how nice he was. We're not into spilling on celebs as Johnny detests things like Access Hollywood but let's say he bought something that was critical of the current administration in Washington. At the time he was actually recording his sessions with Alison Krause when we had our near brush with celebrity. The results of those sessions is probably already legendary in music history, it's just that good.
Here are Alison Krause and Robert Plant with the Everly Brothers song Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On).

Good call, Johnny - Raising Sand was my favorite album of 2007. All the tracks are fantastic but my particular fave is 'Killing the Blues.' It's currently being used in a JC Penney ad campaign but that's OK - if it makes people want to find out who sings that song I'm OK with it.
Yes, sadly anything and everything is in an ad anymore. But yes, this is really good stuff. T Bone Burnett is deeelicious. Just a master of the craft. I have a cool picture of him backing Neko Case.
