Now I read he and the wife filed a COMPLAINT with social services, not a lawsuit. Did he also file a lawsuit?

Yes people make mistakes, yes people overreact but for this assclown to try and save face by pushing the matter is ridiculous.

"Yes, I know I was wrong, but now I must PROVE somebody else was wronger to get my honor back"

Hey, pal, be glad you are a white professional at the U-M or you REALLY would have seen the system works. I mean if you weren't a professor at U-M and WHITE and well to do, your situation would have been very different.

Here's another thing that gets my goat, there have been plenty of stories on the well meaning yet so ridonculous child protective services. We've read the horror stories and it's certainly not too much to think a well learned man, a college professor would know of such things (ballgame beverage choices aside). Where was the outrage then? Where was the power of the legal eagles of U-M at that time? This whole 'since it happened to me I'm on a crusade and if you're against me you hate America' thing that happens more and more is annoying. When something happens out of the blue, like the poor child with the coat/hood/drawstring strangulation, those I get. These, not so much.

Look, we believe it was a mistake he got the kid a Mike's Hard Lemonade. The situation had to be checked out, it was and yes, things got out of hand.

They did. Unnecessarily so

But now going back at the system seems a tad pious.

Those laws I've seen tear families apart were meant for other people, people not like me.

See how America works for the rest of us? Maybe it's why when the national media tried to play up Barack Obama's 'bitter' comment people in turn said, you're damn right we're bitter.

Welcome to the new third rail in American politics, Class. It's not Social Security anymore it's class.

Give the people their bread and circuses and hey here's a few hundred free dollars (heh) in your pockets. Yes yes, have some of Uncle Sam's best green pocket liner. Look at them, they're not bitter, they're happy, look, who could call them bitter THEY ARE SO CUTE.
