In what can only be called one abysmal inning of softball, EMU managed to give up 3 unearned runs on NO Akron hits in a 7-3 loss at Varsity Field this afternoon. EMU managed just 6 hits and committed 3 errors in falling to an atrocious 9-23 overall and 1-6 in MAC play.
Ashley Strauss and Heather Han had RBI's for Eastern. Kari Chambers when the distance for EMU in the loss striking out 6, walking 3 and was only responsible for 4 earned runs.
Eastern is home tomorrow at Varsity Field, 2 pm start time vs the Bobcats of Ohio University.
