One of Ann Arbor's favorite brewpubs and hangouts will be closing by June and heading off to the mountainous hell that is Denver. Despite good sales numbers, Leopold Bros. will be closing up shop due to a rent increase by the new owners of the building.
Todd Leopold, who owns the pub with his brother Scott said the rent is going up and there is nothing much they can do. Todd Leopold says not to hold it against the landlord though:
"That's the one misconception that people seem to have that it's some evil landlord and it's not like that at all."
Godspeed Leopold Bros., and thanks for the fun and the darts.
