A bomb threat was written on the wall of a restroom there and discovered Tuesday. The veiled threat mentioned an event for next Tuesday "on campus".
"The college takes threats of this nature seriously and is cooperating fully with law enforcement. Staff and student safety is the college's highest priority." Spokeswoman Janet Hawkins said in a statement.
We're sure the College IS taking things seriously and the Washtenaw County Sheriffs have investigated. Sounds to us like Mr. Crankypants has a big exam next Tuesday he's planning on not studying for.

HEY! That's my school, and A) we don't get to smoke there anymore so there are no ashtrays
B) Like any other school there are creative, industrious people TCB-ing (both teachers and students) and then there are jamokes (both teachers and students).
For example my philosophy prof. is just scathingly brilliant, any school would be lucky to have her.
And here's something, at WCC people nod, smile, hold doors open for each other and easily strike up spontaneous chat. I am betting money it's not like that at UofM.
And I can actually afford, as an older, poor, adult, to go to school in this abysmal economic climate. Hey, what a concept.
So there.

Agreed stella magdalen, it IS a fine school. The ashtrays line is a Colonel Will original, it was done in jest.
There are MANY fine programs and teachers at WCC. It serves a very valuable purpose in our area.
Ye, well, actually, I'm probably more P'Od about the non-smoking policy than anything else...
