Sure the Wolverines are tearing it up in the CCHA and Michigan State is defending National Champs, but there is other hockey to discuss citizens, namely EMU's club hockey team being ranked the No. 15 team in Division I of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Eastern Michigan (21-11-5), at one point this season won 13 of 14 games, including a win over then #9 Kent State and #4 Ohio State. Former NHL and Red Wing alum Lee Norwood WAS coaching the EMU hockey team before stepping down this week. Joe Fosbender will lead EMU's charges the rest of the way.
Because of its ranking, Eastern has earned a bid to the ACHA national tournament to be held in Rochester, N.Y., in March. EMU has not decided if they will go (again the differences between club hockey and CCHA hockey).

We do not understand your statement "EMU has not decided if they will go (to the ACHA national tournament)(again the differences between club hockey and CCHA hockey). Why would any team earning an invitation to play at a national tournament give up that opportunity? For a coach to deny the players (without consultation or discussion with the players) the opportunity to play at the National tournament shows very little repect to the players. It has been a number of years since EMU has made it to the National tournament and the players (especially the seniors) deserved better treatment than they received.
