Five businesses within the same strip mall on Ann Arbor's south side were burglarized Monday night, police said.
The owner of Gladys Gray and Co. Haircare located at 3152 Packard Road, called police Ann Arbor police at about 7 a.m. Tuesday after discovering a rock thrown through the business's front window and the shop ransacked.
While officers responded to the scene, the owner of Aries Dry Cleaning & Alterations also reported the front window of that business was also smashed and the cash register missing.
Employees at the nearby DJ's Pizza, Mary's Fabulous Chicken, and Two Wheel Tango all reported finding front windows smashed by rocks within the hour that police received the initial call, Detective Sgt. Jim Stephenson said.
Police found the cash register from the pizza shop on the lawn by a sidewalk nearby, the cash register from the cleaners behind the building, and the restaurant's cash register in the middle of Bellwood Street just west of Norwood, reports said.
Thanks Alan! I think I got that from a source about the same time it went up on the A2 News. It's funny, driving by I didn't see any broken glass and or windows
