Any thoughts?

I really want to hear more details. So much posturing - I thought this was going to last a while. I was wrong.

I figured it'd be short. I think the UAW took a bath but that's just me. No jobs guarantee, no raises, lower starting scale on pay.

It's funny, all interviews I have read and seen on tv the UAW members don't seem to care about the lower starting pay for new employees. They are concerned about existing job classifications that get regraded to a lower pay scale. So essentially, as long as it doesn't affect them personally either by current pay or retirement benefits, they are fine with it.

This VEBA thing - wow. Not that I believe history always repeats itself, but the UAW handling billions of $ ??? I don't know about that one. This thing has to be so complicated that I would bet my paycheck that GM will come out of it with the better end of the stick.

I am not on either side - I think they all can accept responsibility or credit, depending on how you look at it.
