College football poll for Washtenaw County

1. EMU 1987 Alumni team being honored this weekend
2. Concordia men's soccer
3. Faithway Baptist
4. Michigan
5. Eastern Michigan

Oh, and no matter how bad your team lost today, it can ALWAYS get worse:

Smith Stadium - Bowling Green , KY
Western Kentucky 87
West Virginia Tech 0

YCD checked, Western Kentucky scored 49 in the first quarter. It was all downhill after that for WVT.

One final note, Oregon won fair and square, a real woodshed game but a nickel's worth of free advice for the Oregon football program. Get helmets that fit. That was embarassing. I must have seen 7 or 8 times where a Duck player's helmet came off.

That's simply sloppy looking

I noticed the helmets flying off also - many, many times.

I'm no football expert, but it sure appears to me that UM's football program has sat and watched the world go by. The game obviously has changed a great deal, and apparently Michigan has not.

The days of having 320 lbs. players that get tired in five minutes are over. 320 lbs. players that can run marathons, now that is what is needed.

As soon as Michigan's offense has to change their game plan they are cooked. Yesterday, that was in the 2nd quarter.

Very sad. But look at it this way, sooner or later they will start playing against other boring, left behind teams in the big ten and maybe they can start competing!

Seems to me this is some divine intervention and payback for years of Michigan typically opening it's schedule with a couple 'cake' teams. It finally bit them in the ass, Appalachian State in a nailbiter and Oregon with a brutal schooling in all things ducky.

Maybe when they get a new coach they will put on big boy pants and accept some tougher opponents.

Anonymous--you mean living off reputation? That's a toughie because I am a sports traditionalist and a long long stretch of awfully good football doesn't get blown out of the water by two or three games. That being said we've all seen what we've seen these last four games and it DOES look like it's passed them by.

Today's silver lining, a poll could be which team would you rather be right now Michigan, or Notre Dame?

Call next Saturday the "I don't even shave yet" bowl with kiddie QB's Ryan Mallett and Jimmy Clausen.

Hey trixielovesypsi, a lot of M fans were asking about Appy State and EMU in the same year too.

Divine inervention? I'm willing to bet a lot of Wolverine fans who would normally go to some kind of church service this morning are sitting on the couch, sullen, with a cup of Folgers questioning divine anything.
