Happy Birthday to, well, the Ypsi City Desk

We began this grand experiment one year ago today with just Johnny connecting to somebody's open wi-fi from under the Forest Street bridge over the Huron River where the original YCD office was. But spiders and bats not wanting us there chased us off to bigger and better things. We now have two interns and a giant office downtown. Not bad for a handful of dedicated readers, who we truly appreciate.

Thanks for reading, or, at least pretending to while looking at the pictures!

Hey - pass me some of that punch!

Congrats to Ypsi City Desk and to you, Johnny Action Space Punk. You're my favoritest blogger. Without you I'd wander willy-nilly through the streets of Ypsilanti and probably barrel right into a giant-laser-shooting-cathead.

You are a credit to the Ypsi community; you dish praise and also are not afraid to question when something does seem right. Here's to many more issues!

And if Trixie were the boss of EMU football, you'd get press credentials...

I got the credentials finally so a big thanks to the EMU SI office. I just wanna put up some pictures of big days in Ypsi--the baseball and softball games going on at the same times on a gorgeous spring day, the 4th of July parade, the Heritage Festival, I just wanna post what happens around here.

Thank you for calling me a credit, I just wanna give people a place they can always and something different or entertaining in an infomercial kind of way. And when you think about it, with the music we show this is a lot like the blogging version of the old kids show 'The Friendly Giant'.

Man that rooster creeped me out
