YCD asks you, what's YOUR favorite Christmas tune?

Is it a traditional favorite? Is it a rocker? A cover? An original? Do let us know here at Ypsi City Desk, as Johnny is gonna start putting up Christmas videos before too much longer and maybe, just maybe if you're good he'll look on the YouTube for your song.

Johnny's favorite Christmas song is, and always has been Run Rudolph Run, written by Chuck Berry and covered by Keith Richards, Dave Edmunds, Brian Setzer, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, actress Jane Krakowski, Hanson, Bryan Adams and Billy Ray Cyrus (Rudolph has a mullet?).

Glimmertwinfan, I TRIED to find the Keith version for you and it's out there but alas, 'embedding disabled by request'.

Here's Dave Edmunds on an MTV New Years Eve bash from a few eons ago. Enjoy!

Trixie had a compilation disc of Christmas tuneage made for her by none other than Johnny Action Space Punk (five years ago? maybe seven?) that is still her absolute favorite but she LOST it and tried like the dickens to reproduce but failed miserably. HINT HINT.

Getting to the topic at hand, I have always loved hearing 'Ave Maria' during the holidays. And oddly enough, my favorite version of the song was sung by John Cullum as Holling Vincoeur on 'Northern Exposure.' The actor was a Broadway tenor and he did the song proud. Both Shelly and I were in tears.

However, Bob and Tom's rendition of "Let's put the "X" Back in Xmas" isn't too bad either...
