Washtenaw County Sheriff deputy tasers Ypsi Township father

We're going to let more come out on this as we simply weren't there but apparently a father in Ford Heritage Park in Ypsilanti Township was tased over a lost child. Stories vary but the endgame was the father finding one of his children who became separated from the family and an officer demanding he put down his own child until she (the officer) could confirm the child was his. The father reportedly got angry, may have had physical contact with what Commander Dave Egeler says is an undersized female officer, and was tased while possibly holding the child. The father was arrested and charged with resisting and obstructing.

We'll keep an eye on this one to be sure.....More on this story from WXYZ in Detroit.

Well in ONE case anyways. It's still best to not let a road rage incident get out of hand but ladies, if YOU are faced with this situation, you get out the pepper spray, the taser or release the hounds:

Flasher follows woman home
Yep, right in Ann Arbor, a woman walking home passed a man in the 100 block of Hoover about 12:40am. The man stopped, and began following her, went into her apartment building and he followed her. As she quickly let herself into her apartment he ran up and exposed himself.

ANY of these solutions are acceptable and think about it, if you pepper spray him, he's not exactly able to cover things which makes the very necessary tasering that much easier and FUN for YOU. I mean pick your spots. We think you feel YCD on this one.

Police are looking for a "white or Hispanic with scruffy, dark facial hair. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his mid-20s and wore a dark jacket and light-colored blue jeans."

Naked man wandering on I-94 tasered by State Police

Now there's an attention grabbing headline eh? Fact is, it's true.

Michigan State Police had to taser a guy wandering naked on and alongside I-94, eastbound at Stone School last night around 7:20pm.

The man would not respond to police commands (imagine that, naked guy on highway has other plans than listening to cops) and so police, for his safety as well as those who may have had to swerve to avoid him, tased him.

The 21 year old man was taken to Michigan Medical Center for a psych eval.

Ypsi police to start using TASERS

Ypsi Police Chief Matt Harsberger said the city will buy 45 of the devices with a grant from the Feds for 25 large and the rest in drug forfeiture cash.

Not a bad idea. Anything that can cut down on potential loss of life with a simple disabling weapon rather than a lethal weapon is a good way to go. Maybe Washtenaw County LAWNET officers who have an annoying tendency to shoot unarmed people in the back could use one or two.
