New AATA commuter bus now running between Chelsea and Ann Arbor

So, gas prices got ya down bunky? Do you live in Chelsea and commute to Ann Arbor? Well then, your prayers have been answered. A new bus service running twice in the morning from Chelsea to A2 and twice in the afternoon from A2 to Chelsea have started up.

Here are the bus particulars (including the cost) from the AATA:
Morning
*First bus leaves Arctic Coliseum ice arena in Chelsea at 6:09 a.m. and stops at Huron and Ashley streets at 6:33 a.m., Huron Street and Fifth Avenue at 6:34 a.m., Huron and Fletcher streets at 6:37 a.m. and Ann and Observatory streets at 6:40 a.m.

*Second bus leaves the Arctic Coliseum at 7:08 a.m. and stops at Huron and Ashley streets at 7:36 a.m., Huron Street and Fifth Avenue at 7:37 a.m., Huron and Fletcher streets at 7:42 a.m. and Ann and Observatory streets at 7:45 a.m.


Afternoon
*First bus leaves Huron and Fletcher streets at 3:44 p.m. and stops at Ann and Observatory streets at 3:47 p.m., Huron Street and Fifth Avenue at 3:50 p.m., Huron and Ashley streets at 3:51 p.m. and the Arctic Coliseum at 4:15 p.m.

*Second bus leaves Huron and Fletcher streets at 5:12 p.m. and stops at Ann and Observatory streets at 5:15 p.m., Huron Street and Fifth Avenue at 5:19 p.m., Huron and Ashley streets at 5:20 p.m. and Arctic Coliseum at 5:44 p.m.


Free parking is available at the Arctic Coliseum ice arena. There's a free, two-week trial period for taking the bus, after which an introductory monthly pass is available for $125. Complete information is available at the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority Web site.
