Partly sunny and cold and windy. Scattered light snow showers. Temperatures remaining steady around 9 early...then falling to around 1...with wind chills around 20 below. West winds 20 to 30 mph...with gusts to 45 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Now would be a very good time to take your last precautions and run errands, check on pets, check on the elderly and their heat situation, and the like. Johnny saw some weather models that show gusts of over 50 mph tonight are likely.

Ypsilanti Township offices are closed due to a power outage

Fade to black at the Ypsilanti Township offices and 14B District Court at the Civic Center. The buildings will be closed for the day.

Power is expected to be restored later today according to Mike Radzik, the township's police services administrator.

DTE says as of this morning the high winds and cold temperatures have left some 3,000 in Washtenaw County without power.
