Louie DePalma's been losing at the track, Ann Arbor cab fare to go up

Ann Arbor Cirty Council gave the OK to raise rates for taxi's around town. According to the Ann Arbor News the rate increases will unfold thusly:

The initial charge will increase from $2.50 to $3 for the first 1/7th of a mile.

The charge for subsequent 1/7th of a mile increments will also increase and a temporary 25 cents surcharge per trip added.
