Johnny loves Steely Dan. He also realizes they're either a love or hate band. Like coconut, it's a love it or leave it relationship. For our musical money, no band has ever made better use of backup singers. They are worked in so brilliantly in their music, always perfectly arranged. Plus these two, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker and top flight artists and musicians.
