Johnny's gonna be gone but if I were you I'd raise some hell over the traffic roundabout the Michigan Department of Transportation is proposing for the bottleneck there. Johnny took the bus for four years, the number 3 route so he went through that stretch past Concordia College all the time. A roundabout isn't going to help that. You could solve the ENTIRE mess there by not letting people turn left off Geddes onto south US-23, make them to to Washtenaw or Plymouth Rd to grab it and problem solved.
A roundabout seems to be the super happy fix of MDOT anymore. Johnny has run solutions through his head there five days a week for four years. His is better.
More on this stupid idea here

MDOT to begin closing lanes on M-14 starting tomorrow
OK, here's the story, those traveling into and out of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti east of US 23 will begin seeing lane closures but NOT during peak travel times. The schedule:
A single lane will be closed in each direction from Ford Road east to Gotfredson Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, an announcement from the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
On weekends, closures can be expected from 7 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Monday.
Bridge work and what not. The project will last into next football season.

MDOT to close M-14 over weekend for REFLECTIVITY
Yes yes all those big words coming from YCD. But here's the haps-MDOT will be closing the westbound M-14 exit to Main Street (Exit 3) in Ann Arbor at 4 a.m. Saturday and will remain closed until noon Saturday for a NEW SIGN with better night time REFLECTIVITY (you just had to give Johnny a chance to work that word in, see).
Of course, maybe they won't close it either. Why? If weather becomes an issue. It will later tomorrow (see below) but at 4am, they should be simply chilly.
MDOT says roughly 12,500 cars use the ramp on weekdays.
Official detour during the closure will be M-14 to the Maple-Miller roads exit and back to Main Street.
Got that? Or you could just sleep late and miss the whole damned thing.

MDOT warns drivers to avoid Milan this weekend
This means YOU citizen. US 23 will be under construction one lane both north and south due to an earlier car accident down Milan way all weekend. You can still drive US 23 south but MDOT says expect delays.
Or just do what Johnny does, avoid Milan on principle
