Eastern Michigan softball takes the beating stick to Ohio U

In a game that just finished up over at Varsity Field, EMU skunked Ohio U 8-0 on Alumni Day. Jaclyn Caro was brilliant, in 6 innings she scattered four hits and issued no walks. Even more impressive was the fact she had only one strikeout and induced 10 ground balls and 5 pop ups. Masterful pitching. The team had plenty of offense to go around and plenty from Jenny Scherer who was 3-4 with a home run and RBI, Lauren Delapaz who was 2-3 with an RBI and Stacie Skodinski who homered and knocked in 2. EMU also got RBI's from Stephanie Sabo and Brooke Carpenter. Eastern improves to 11-23 and has won 2 in a row.

Eastern is home again tomorrow in their final Varsity Field appearance in 2008. First pitch 1 pm.
